UI-Global’s SouthVation initiative focused on UN Sustainable Development Goal #2

UI-Global’s SouthVation initiative is focused on Africa’s neglected crops and the role that indigenous, currently marginalized foods can play in feeding the world. 

UI Global has worked alongside Southern Africa Network for Biosciences, Pharma Connect Africa, and Tshwane University of Technology, and was joined by almost 100 delegates and thought leaders from across Africa and beyond for conversations about indigenous foods.

UI-Global’s SouthVation platform helps encourage and support new approaches and innovations specifically focused on achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2 aimed at eliminating all forms of hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
