Bob Creighton
Founder & CEO
Bob has been supporting innovation for over 25 years. Working closely with the UI Global team and their extensive networks, he is leading the development of a new type of innovation service based on a unique mix of Capital, Coaching and Consultancy. Today, his energies are largely focused on building UI-Global’s footprint and partnerships, delivering support and solutions to businesses, development agencies, universities and communities across the globe.
In addition to founding UI Global, Bob is Chairman of MentorShop, a co-located US and European business development consultancy. He is an advisor to a number of high-growth technology companies in Europe and the US.
Bob was made an MBE by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth in the 2021 Birthday Honours for his services to UK/US relations. He has also been honored with appointments to the Smithsonian in Washington DC and is Honorary Commercial Consul for the State of New Hampshire to Scotland. A member of various European-American international trade initiatives, he is featured in the book Global Scots – Voices from Afar, which profiles influential Scots in the international arena. He is also the recipient of the 2020 National Tartan Day Award.
In the voluntary field, Bob mentors young people and pioneered the schools’ program Local Heroes – Be All You Can Be. He is a past President of NHSCOT and currently chairs their Council of Advisors. He is President of Scots in New England and has been the voice of New York’s popular annual Tartan Day Parade since 2016.
